Arrival to Helsinki, transfer to city centre

Find the Finnair City Bus stop just outside arrival level at Terminal T2 or T1. Bus will take you to Elielinaukio Square at Helsinki Central Railway Station in approximately 35 minutes. Please check the bus schedule here A short 10 minute walk to your first class downtown hotel. We will confirm the hotel after your booking. Check-in starts at 15.00. If you arrive before that you can store your luggage at the hotel.

Coffee break at Café Esplanad

For a snack you can taste something very typically Finnish: a “Korvapuusti” cinnamon bun with a cup of coffee or tea at a traditional coffee shop Café Esplanad on one of the main shopping streets, the Esplanade. (Address: Pohjois-Esplanadi 37, open daily until 21.00 hrs). There are many types of restaurants, Finnish, Western or Asian, where you can buy dinner according to your fancy.

Breakfast at the hotel

Full buffet breakfast at your hotel. After a breakfast we suggest a morning stroll along the Esplanade to the Market Square by the harbor. Also worth visiting is the old restored Market Hall and checking out the Senate Square and majestic Helsinki Cathedral, just one block north from the Market Square.

Helsinki Panorama Sightseeing tour 11.00-12.45

An audio guided (several languages including English, Chinese and Japanese) Helsinki Panorama Sightseeing city tour starts from Fabianinkatu street tourist bus stop in the middle of the Esplanade Park in downtown Helsinki. Please arrive to the tourist bus stop 15 minutes before the tour departure. During the approximately 1,5 hour city tour you will drive past the main sights of Helsinki and hear interesting stories behind them. There will be a short stop at the famous Temppeliaukio Church, graved in rock, and the Sibelius Monument before the tour ends at the Esplanade Park. The comfortable double decker tour bus is air conditioned and heated in winter and has a free wifi. Please note, that the entrance fee to Temppeliaukio church is not included  (3 euros/ person, to be paid on the spot).

OPTIONAL: After sightseeing tour you have time to explore the main shopping streets Esplanade with brand shops and Aleksanterinkatu as well as Mannerheimintie where you find bigger malls like Kämp Galleria or Forum and the Stockmann department store. The lively market place Kauppatori and the traditional market hall are situated at the end of the Esplanade Park by the sea. The market vendors sell also traditional dishes, recommendable for a snack or lunch, also open air weather permitting.

Dinner at restaurant Zetor 19.00

Dinner in a Finnish countryside styled restaurant Zetor on Kaivopiha Square. The restaurant is decorated with old time articles of the North and the 3-course set menu consists of traditional and beloved Finnish dishes made of salmon, reindeer, potatoes and wild berries. You can choose between 3 alternatives on each course and one drink (soft drink or Finnish beer) is included.

Walk back to your hotel and overnight.


Breakfast at the hotel, check-out latest at 12.00

Full buffet breakfast at your hotel. We suggest storing your luggage at the hotel reception upon check-out. Free time to explore more sights of Helsinki or do some last minute shopping before picking up your luggage from the hotel and proceeding to the Elielinaukio Square next to the Central Railway Station.

Departure to the airport (12.00-24.00)

Departure from Elielinaukio Square by Finnair City Bus according to your flight schedule. We suggest you to arrive to the airport latest 1,5 hours before your flight. Please check the bus schedule in advance here choose the optimal bus journey. The journey will take approximately 35 minutes. There is a good choice of shops and restaurants at the airport.
