Arrival to Helsinki
Arrival at Helsinki Airport in the afternoon. After immigration find the Finnair City Bus at stop nr 10 just outside arrival level at Terminal T2. The bus will take you to Elielinaukio Square at Helsinki Central Station in 35 minutes.
A short 10 minute walk to your first class downtown hotel, we will confirm your hotel after your booking. After a short rest at your room we suggest a refreshing walk in surrounding downtown area.
Dinner at restaurant Zetor 19.00
Dinner in Finnish country side style at restaurant Zetor in Kaivopiha Square (very heart of the city). The restaurant is decorated with old time articles of the North and the 3-course set menu consists of traditional and beloved Finnish dishes made of salmon, reindeer, potatoes and wild berries. You are able to choose between 3 alternatives on each course and one drink (soft drink or Finnish beer) is included.

Breakfast at the hotel
Full buffet breakfast at your hotel. We suggest to take a morning stroll from your hotel to the lively Market Place by the sea at the end of the Esplanade Park where the sellers offer their fresh catch of the day. Have a look to the old Market Hall on the side of the harbor as well.
Pick your Helsinki Card (24hrs) up at the Strömma desk in the Visit Helsinki Information office in the corner of the Market Place (Pohjois-Esplanadi street nr 19, opens at 10.00). The Helsinki card enables you to use all public transportation free of charge 24hrs from the time you use it first time. It also gives you free or discounted entrance to many attractions and museums. An information leaflet will be given with the card.
Helsinki Panorama Sightseeing tour 11.00-12.45
Present your Helsinki Card at the Sightseeing Bus Stop of Fabianinkatu in the middle of the Esplanade Park 15 minutes before the tour departure. An audio guided (several languages including English, Chinese and Japanese) Helsinki Panorama Sightseeing city tour starts from Fabianinkatu street tourist bus stop. The comfortable double decker tour bus is air conditioned and heated (winter) and has a free wifi. During the 1,5 hour city tour you will drive past the main sights of Helsinki and hear interesting stories behind them. There will be a short stop at the famous Temppeliaukio Church, graved in rock, and the Sibelius Monument before the tour ends at the Esplanade Park.
After Sightseeing tour you have time to explore the main shopping streets Esplanade with brand shops and Aleksanterinkatu as well as Mannerheimintie where you find bigger malls like Kämp Galleria or Forum and the Stockmann department store. The lively market place Kauppatori and the traditional market hall are situated at the end of the Esplanadi Park by the sea. The market vendors sell also traditional dishes, recommendable for a snack or lunch, also open air weather permitting.
Take a short break at the charming old Café Esplanad at Pohjois-Esplanadi 37. You will taste something very typical Finnish: a “Korvapuusti” cinnamon bun with a cup of coffee or tea. This might be the most traditional sweet bread in Finland and very beloved even today!
OPTIONAL: Beautiful Canal Route -Cruise on summer season (1.5.-30.9.) You have a great chance to see Helsinki from the sea by a sightseeing boat along the Beautiful Canal Route. Present your Helsinki Card at the Strömma Pier on the Market Place for a free cruise latest 15 minutes before the departure. The Sightseeing boats for the Beautiful Canal Route leave regularly for a 1,5 hrs cruise to the archipelago of Helsinki. There is commentary and a cafeteria on board.
The late afternoon and evening you are able to explore Helsinki on your own with your Helsinki Card. Helsinki downtown has a good variety of restaurants and cafeterias for buying dinner at your own taste.

Day trip to Tallinn
Early wake up at the hotel. From downtown Helsinki you can take tram nr 6T or 9 to the Western Harbor. The tram ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Please, check with your hotel reception on previous day. Your Helsinki Card is still valid for the tram journey in the morning. You can reach the harbor also with a taxi in 15 minutes (extra charge). Please, remember to take your passport with you! Both Finland and Estonia use Euros as currency.
Check-in at Länsiterminaali (Terminal 2) 06.30-07.00
Check-in at TallinkSilja desks in Länsiterminaali T2 (West Terminal 2) harbor. You will receive all boarding passes and meal coupons for both outbound and homebound voyage. Boarding closes at 07.10 – no access to the ferry after this time
The Tallink Shuttle fast ferry leaves Helsinki. Buffet breakfast on board. On Tallink fast ferries you have several tax free shops, cafeterias and bars at your disposal.
Arrival to Tallinn, capital of Estonia, Terminal D
The old city originating from medieval time is just one kilometer walk away. Maps are available at the reception desk on the ferry. Walk to the Toompea Hill in the middle of the old town for great views and interesting Russian orthodox cathedral. Descend to the City Hall Square and wander through the narrow lanes and cobbled streets with handicraft shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. In the new part of Tallinn there are well stocked modern shopping malls, like the Viru center or Forum. The museum of contemporary art, Kumu in the Kadriorg Park 3 kilometers from downtown, is famous for its architecture.
Arrive back to Tallinn Passenger harbor, Terminal D for boarding at the second floor. Use the return boarding card you received in Helsinki check-in in the morning.
Boarding closes – no access to the ferry after this time
The Tallink Shuttle fast ferry leaves Tallinn, buffet dinner including drinks on board. Arrival to Helsinki, West harbor. Return to your hotel by taxi or tram (extra charge).

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out latest at 12.00. After check-out it is possible to deposit your luggage at the hotel. Free time to explore Helsinki in accordance to your flight schedule.
Finnair buses leave Elielinaukio Square (platform 30) every 15-20 minutes for the airport. The journey will take 35 minutes. Check your flight departure time in advance to choose an optimal bus journey. We suggest to arrive to the airport latest 1,5 hours before your flight departure even if you have already checked-in. Show your boarding pass at the security control in order to access the international departure area. Please, remember the security rules for hand luggage. There is a good choice of shops and restaurants in the departure area. Have a good flight and welcome back to Finland soon!
